Non-Licensed Agencies(those who do not have the Personal Care License issued by the Louisiana Department Health and Hospitals) or Sitters can only do the following services: Companionship, Light Housekeeping, Meal Preparation, Pet Care and Incidental Transportation.
They cannot assist with eating, grooming, dressing, toileting, transferring, continence care, medication administration and obtain/record vital signs. Contact a Licensed Home Care Service for that type of care.
Types of Home Care:
- Home Care: Non - Licensed (Includes Homemaking Services)
- Home Care: Licensed, Non-Medical
- Skilled Home Health Care
